You folks may have heard that the Canadian dollar is doing pretty well these days. As a result, it seems as if my friends back home are now going a little gaga over all the sweet deals on US based Internet sites, and in the process, giving Canada Post some serious constipation.
Officials say the volume of parcels has choked three main international mail-sorting centres operated by Canada Post and the Canada Border Service agency in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
There are reports of parcels from the United States languishing for days and even weeks at the centres before being released for delivery. [Globe and Mail]
