On Monday night Canadian chanteuse and Polaris Prize nominated recording artist Julie Doiron played Union Hall with her friend and drummer (and some time guitarist), Dick Morello. They played a great set (she’s very charming on stage) and the crowd was really into it. Also, as you can see, Julie and Dick switched things up a bit at the end of the set when they introduced their band “Calm Down It’s Monday”. Julie has a couple more Canadian dates coming up in the near future (and a new record coming out in 2009 according to a comment she made during the show) including one at the CBC Radio 3 sponsored Stereophonic Festival in her hometown Sackville, NB on Jan 18, 2008.
