Oasis is Cancelled But People Will Busk Today

Noel Gallagher Gets Attacked On Stage in Toronto

The “intimate Oasis club show” at Terminal 5 scheduled for September 12 has been canceled.

As a result of the incident on Oasis’ Canadian tour, when Noel was attacked by a stage invader Oasis, are now being forced to announce that tomorrow night’s show at Terminal 5, New York cannot go ahead as planned.

Noel fell heavily on to his monitor speakers when he was pushed suddenly from behind by his attacker and suffered bruising to his ribs and hip. Unfortunately, he still has not recovered from his injuries and so he will not be able to perform tomorrow.

All tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.

But have no fear, you can still hear Oasis tomorrow, albeit performed by relatively unknown street musicians in the New York City subway system.

Event: Launch of the new album “Dig Out Your Soul” by British band Oasis, in stores October 7, 2008, which will see Oasis use the streets of New York City as the stage to premier their new music

Photo-op: City street musicians from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Music Under New York Program performing unreleased Oasis songs “The Turning,” “Bag it Up” and “(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady,” along with new single “The Shock of the Lightning” publicly for the first time on New York City streets
