After putting out four EPs in rapid succession, the prolific Joseph Arthur is releasing his second full length LP with the Lonely Astronauts entitled Temporary People on September 30. In between now and then he’s got a solo gig lined up at the Housing Works on September 19 and two record release shows at (the soon to be closed) Museum of Modern Arthur on September 26 and 27. There is also one final art exhibit at MOMAR (“The Closing Opening”) which opens on September 25 at 8PM and continues through September 30th. Here’s what Joseph had to say about the imminent demise of MOMAR:

The museum of modern arthur will be no more
I can’t disclose details but let’s just say
In the immortal words of kenny rogers
You gotta know when to fold em
Know when to walk away

And the big bad landlord is giving us the boot
(We pay our rent but other things factor into this
Up and coming thriving metropolis known as dumbo)
