Ok, so the slickly packaged “alternative rock” band Anberlin isn’t the type of thing I usually cover over here, but Jon wanted to go to the show, and who I am to deny a man his shutterlust (is that a word?). Anywho, Anberlin played Webster Hall last week (October 29) with Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Straylight Run, and There For Tomorrow (aka three bands I’ve never heard of). They’ve got a new record out now called Never Surrender and they are finishing up their US tour over the next couple of days before heading off a UK tour, then returning for more US dates, and then heading back out on an Australian tour (ah, the machine at work).
