I don’t usually post music videos by themselves, but I thought the new video for Brendan Canning‘s “Love Is New” was worth featuring for its refreshingly clever take on the often banal medium. If you think the video looks familiar, that’s because it is an awesome Toronto based shot for shot remake of the opening sequence of Saturday Night Fever.

If you’re a fan of films like Dawn of the Dead or 28 Days Later, then the video for Handsome Furs “I’m Confused” may be just the quick fix you’ve been looking for. Shot in HD on a Canon EOS 5 Mk II, this “zombie love story for the ages” blends just the right amount of camp and gore to keep you watching (with one hand over your face) right until the end. A slight warning though, while the video is pretty entertaining in an over the top kind of way, it may not sit so well with your parents, or the easily grossed out.
