Spencer Krug‘s other band, Sunset Rubdown, (well, his other band that is not Swan Lake or Wolf Parade) is releasing a brand new album on June 23 called Dragonslayer (Jagjaguwar). Though I haven’t heard the new record yet, it has been described by various press materials as, “their most cohesive and natural sounding album to date.” In support of Dragonslayer, Krug and Co. are planning both a European and a North American tour with a pit stop at Brooklyn’s newly unclosed Studio B on June 12 (as part of the previously announced Northside Festival).
