The BKLYN Yard (formerly known as “The Yard”) is returning for 2009 and though they haven’t updated their website yet, here’s a list of events they’ve got scheduled for May 2009:

PARKED: Picnic lunch brought to you by the best food trucks in NYC
OPENING DAY!! Join us and celebrate the beginning of summer with eats from NYC’s best food carts. Pizzamoto, Red Hook Huarache Vendors, Community Juice Truck, and more!
Noon-7pm, FREE, all ages

May 24th
SUNDAY BEST w/ Quentin Harris
From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, Eamon, Doug and Justin will return as resident DJs. Each weekend, they are joined by incredible guests while we get busy eating huaraches, drinking sangria, and dancing it all off.

May 30th
SCORE! a free swap on the Gowanus Canal
Start gathering your old Twisted Sister albums, ill-advised sample sale purchases, well-intentioned gifts from grandma, those jeans that just don’t fit anymore, etc, and get ready to exchange them for new treasures.

SUNDAY BEST w/ Mr. Scruff
Born in Manchester, UK, Mr. Scruff is a prolific DJ, Producer, Cartoonist & Tea Drinker. As a DJ, he plays across the board, infusing Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae, Latin, African, Ska, Disco, House, Funk, Breaks, etc, with love and humor.
