One of the latest efforts in Bono’s ubiquitous (RED) Campaign is the (RED) Nights concert series. A portion of the proceeds from each RED Nights show will be donated to the Global Fund, which finances programs to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The first New York date in this series is the just announced Katy Perry show (Buy Tickets) at the Hammerstein Ballroom on July 28. The series will culminate with a multi-act show in New York on World AIDS Day, December 1st.

The Veronicas, Lisa Hannigan, Santigold, and Gomez are among the first announced acts that will be participating in the Red Nights series. More (RED) Nights artists and dates after the jump.
