Today marked the announcement of the final Canadian Virgin Festival which will take place at Burl’s Creek Park in Barrie, Ontario on August 29-30, 2009. Here’s what the initial and impressive looking lineup looks like:

Hard to say which day has the advantage, Day 2 definitely has the bigger headliner in NIN, but there are plenty of people who would travel far and wide to see The Pixies or maybe even for Grizzly Bear or Franz Ferdinand. It’s probably the deepest lineup of any Canadian Virgin Festival to date, and probably also the only one I would think about buying a weekend pass for.
