Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Tonight, Phoenix plays the last of their 2009 NYC gigs, with a “secret show” at the mysterious P.C. Richard & Son Theater in Tribeca. It’s not quite the end of the road though, they’ve still got a few Christmas radio gigs left before they can head home to relax and enjoy the breakout year they’ve had. First stop in 2010 should be the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards where the band is nominated in the category of “Best Alternative Album”— surely, as far as their label is concerned, this album has already been a huge “win” regardless of whether it actually receives a Grammy. Less than two weeks after the big awards show, they’ll head on up to Vancouver, Seattle and Portland to perform their first shows in the Pacific Northwest since the May 2009 debut of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.
