Macy Gray

In honor of Earth month, Macy Gray will be playing a free “Origins Rocks” show tonight (April 19) at Webster Hall at 10PM ET. The concert will also be webcast at www.origins.com/liveconcert and feature an appearance by guest emcee Malin Ackerman (the hottie from HBO’s The Comeback among other things). To get free tickets you needed to bring at least one empty cosmetic package, regardless of brand, to an Origins retail store in NYC. It’s kind of too late for that route at this point, but who knows, if you show up at the door tonight and there is still room inside, you just might get lucky. As an added bonus to our Earth, Origins plans to plant a tree on behalf of each concert attendee. Ms. Gray will be performing songs off of her forthcoming album, The Sellout which is set to drop on June 22, 2010 on Concord Records/Island Records.
