Baaba Maal – Television

In case you hadn’t heard, Senegalese superstar Baaba Maal will be playing an SOB’s presents gig this Friday, April 30 at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza (Buy Tickets). Baaba’s most recent album Television (his first in eight years) came out last year on Palm Pictures and features the talents of New York’s Brazilian Girls. If you can’t catch Baaba on Friday, the good news is he’ll be back at Central Park Summerstage on June 14, 2010, in what may turn out to be a free Africa Day performance.
