Matador Records 21st Anniversary (Oct 1-3, 2010)

With the rise of events like XX Merge and Sub Pop 20, anniversary parties have become de rigueur in the indie label world, so I wasn’t surprised when I heard that Matador Records had decided to throw itself a little 21st Anniversary bash this year. The 3 day celebration is scheduled to take place from October 1-3, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV at the Pearl at the Palms. Though details of the event have not yet been officially announced, according to an article in Las Vegas Weekly, Pavement will headline one night (confirmed via Billions) and Sonic Youth will probably headline another (they play the Hollywood Bowl w/ Pavement on Sep 30).
