In case you hadn’t heard, and I’m guessing by now most of you have, on July 1 the good folks at Starbucks dropped the annoying membership requirement for their free in-store wi-fi. Much to the chagrin of neighborhood coffee shops everywhere, the new Starbucks wi-fi program offers unlimited 1 click access to the Internets and you no longer need a Starbucks card to ride the wave. While I welcome the improvements over at SBUX, Barnes & Noble, McDonalds, Pret A Manger, the Apple Store, the Brooklyn and New York Public Libraries and many other places around town offer similar 1 click access.
