PS I Love You 2010 at CMJ (10/21/10)

The duo took the stage later than planned — prompting an impatient announcement by the sound man — but when they stepped out and launched into a selection of songs from their much-lauded Meet Me At The Muster Station debut album, everyone — from the too-cool hipsters to the jock brosephs to the party chicks in the front — went nuts.

You could barely see the hirsute Saulnier‘s face through his shaggy hair, but his Frank Black-style vocals shone right through. When paired with some absolutely solid drumming from Benjamin Nelson, you had a combination that created some ebulliently noisy rock. PS I Love You killed it, and their audience definitely showed their appreciation (particularly when Diamond Rings’ John O’Regan stepped up to play bass in their set’s last song). [Chartattack]

If you missed the buzzed about PS I Love You at CMJ, you can relax, they’ll be back in NYC faster than you can utter Palm Springs’ most memorable marketing slogan. You can catch the Guelph Ontario duo at The Rock Shop on December 3 (Buy Tickets) and at Pianos on December 4.
