Handsome Furs at Richard’s on Richards (04/21/08)

While Handsome Furs have yet to officially announce their third record, they have just announced a small number of US tour dates including one at The Bell House on April 14 (Buy Tickets). Regarding that new LP, in December of 2010, Dan Boeckner told Spinner.com that they were set to recording the new album in January 2011 in Chicago.

“We’ve got two-thirds of the record written, and then we’ll put it together,” Boeckner told Spinner. “Arlen [Thompson] has got some pretty good ideas for production, and we’re gonna try out stuff we haven’t tried before.”

Boeckner also revealed that recording engineer [and original Arcade Fire drummer] Howard Bilerman — who worked on Wolf Parade’s latest album, ‘Expo 86’ — will be involved, and it will be recorded at Mount Zoomer sound studio in Montreal. [Spinner.com]
