ECNY Awards
The big event in NYC comedy this week is the 7th annual ECNY Awards which takes place tonight (Monday, Mar 14) at the 92Y Tribeca.
The Excellence in Comedy Awards celebrate the comedic performing arts in New York City by honoring the funniest and most creative performers, shows and producers working in the field.
For the last seven years, this event brings together the city’s best stand-ups, sketch artists, improvisers, musical comedy acts, storytellers, writers and more under one roof for a night of winning and losing…mostly losing. Hosted by Jon Friedman (The Rejection Show), the night will feature celebrity presenters, performances by the musical comedy nominees, lots of drinking and (therefore) other surprises.
For the paparazzi reading this, red carpet starts at 6:30; awards begin at 8:30. Buy your tickets here.
