Deer Tick at Offline at SXSW (03/19/11)

Deer Tick are playing a special show tonight at Brooklyn Bowl (June 19) under the moniker of Deervana. The Rhode Island band has been sprinkling their sets with Nirvana covers as of late, with multiple songs cropping up at both SXSW and Bonnaroo. They grunge-era tracks have been so well received that they thought they would do it full-on night of Nirvana classics during this year’s Northside Festival. If you can’t make it tonight (or possibly aren’t a Nirvana fan) Deer Tick will be back to play a free show at Pier 54 as part of Hudson River Rocks concert series on August 11. According to Rolling Stone, Deer Tick’s next new album is due out in October on Partisan Records.
