The shortlist for the Annual Barclayard Mercury Prize, (aka, the UK Album of the Year), was announced on July 20, 2011 and it includes several acts who will be coming through NYC in the near future. For those of you haven’t seen the complete list yet, here’s what it looks like:

The overall winner of the 2011 Mercury Prize will be announced at the gala awards dinner on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Until then, here’s what some of the nominees are up to:

Elbow is playing Terminal 5 on Sep 5, 2011.

James Blake is playing Webster Hall on Oct 5, 2011.

Metronomy is playing a free show at the Hudson River Rocks at Pier 54 on Jul 28, 2011.

Adele is playing the Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City, NJ on Oct 7, 2011.

King Creosote & Jon Hopkins just played The Rock Shop and Mercury Lounge last week.
