Punch Brothers at Red Light Management Party at Stubb’s at SXSW (03/15/12)

Big things are happening these days for Chris Thile and his band Punch Brothers. First of all, if you’re reading this on Saturday (Mar 24), you can catch Chris Thile’s Mandolin Concerto tonight at the venerable Carnegie Hall. In addition to tonight’s Carnegie Hall gig, the band will be playing a proper show with Jesca Hoop (remember her) at Town Hall on April 26. Also, if you’re one of the many Katniss Everdeen fans attending the movies this weekend, you might notice the band’s excellent song, “Dark Days”, which appears on a little soundtrack called Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 and Beyond. Last but not least, the band’s enigmatically entitled new album, Who’s Feeling Young Now?, just came out last month on Nonesuch (and for the purists out there, the vinyl LP was released this past Tuesday).
