Avett Brothers at RCMH (10/13/10)

Nope, they didn’t add another show (which is what I first thought) or reschedule because they suddenly realized it was the second day of Rosh Hashanah, but rather “inclement weather” (tornado warnings, pshaw) was the cause of tonight’s postponement of The Avett Brothers show at Central Park. The rescheduled show will be held on Monday, September 24 at 7:30 pm at the very same Rumsey Playfield. All tickets for tonight’s show will be honored on Monday, and those unable to attend can obtain refunds at the original point of purchase. In other news, the Avett Brothers new album, The Carpenter, is out now and is selling well despite some mixed reviews (I haven’t listened yet myself).
UPDATE: The Avett Brothers grab its best week ever on the Billboard 200 as “The Carpenter” climbs in with 98,000 at No. 4. [Billboard.com]
