Mother Falcon
Thanks to a $25,000 IndieGogo fundraiser, 18-piece Austin based orchestral ensemble, Mother Falcon, is spending this summer on tour in the Northeast, including a month long residency NYC. At tonight’s show at Littlefield (June 11) they will be joined by guitarist Gary Lucas, as well as Amanda Palmer and Jherek Bischoff. Tickets are still available, but probably not for long.
During their month-long stay Mother Falcon is performing every Sunday night at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan and every Tuesday night at Littlefield in Brooklyn. The final show of each residency, on June 25th and June 30th respectively, will feature an exclusive performance of Radiohead’s OK Computer in its entirety. And after tomorrow’s show with Amanda the band’s second set of the night at Littlefield will include a special cover of Jeff Buckley’s “Grace” and an appearance by Buckley’s former guitarist Gary Lucas.
There new album You Knew is currently streaming on BandCamp and also available for purchase digitally on iTunes.
More tour dates and video for “Dirty Summer” after the jump.
